Technology Current research efforts at the Spendlove Research Foundation have been directed towards developing a Micro-ELISA array for the detection of commonly accepted cancer markers. See Current Cancer Marker Assay Listing. The Spendlove Research Foundation has also pointed it's efforts in the direction of developing Hormone and Cytokine assays. The current Micro-ELISA array can economically test for up to 24 different cancer markers simultaneously using a 3 microliter serum sample in a single well of a 96 well microtiter plate. Other cancer and general health biomarker assays are under current development. find out more. Custom Assay Development Services Custom assay development services are available from Spendlove Research Foundation. If antibodies and a purified antigen are available for a specific analyte, the Spendlove Research Foundation researchers can develop an assay for that analyte. If you would be interested in having a Micro-ELISA developed for your specific needs please let us know. We have developed a highly efficient system that allows us to keep our costs low and assay accuracy high. You may be surprised at how little new assays cost to develop and run. find out more Specialty Cell Culture Media Our primary goal is to develop custom cell culture media that approximate the conditions in the body that control the functions of cells. We are researching the blood and organ components that control the function of the cells. More specifically, we intend to be able to cause cells to differentiate (change to another form), dedifferentiate (revert back to a prior form), grow profusely, or produce a particular product, etc. Cell culture media with these types of capabilities would greatly benefit the cell culture industry and facilitate the research of tens of thousands of researchers. |
