Technology Current research efforts at the Spendlove Medical Research Institute have been directed towards developing a Micro-ELISA array for the detection of commonly accepted cancer markers. See Current Cancer Marker Assay Listing. The Spendlove Medical Research Institute has also pointed it's efforts in the direction of developing Hormone and Cytokine assays. The current Micro-ELISA array can economically test for up to 25 different markers simultaneously using a 30 microliter serum sample in a single well of a 96 well microtiter plate. Other cancer and general health biomarker assays are under current development. find out more. Specialty Cell Culture Media Our primary goal is to develop custom cell culture media that approximate the conditions in the body that control the functions of cells. We are researching the blood and organ components that control the function of the cells. More specifically, we intend to be able to cause cells to differentiate (change to another form), dedifferentiate (revert back to a prior form), grow profusely, or produce a particular product, etc. Cell culture media with these types of capabilities would greatly benefit the cell culture industry and facilitate the research of tens of thousands of researchers. |
