Better Environment
- Air quality – we have many days in Cache Valley and the rest of Utah when it is dangerous to go outside and breathe. It is estimated by Utah Physicians for a Healthy Environment that air pollution is indicated as a cause of up to as many as 1,000 deaths per year in Utah. We have developed technologies to help reduce the amount of emissions from farms (ammonia emissions) and vehicles (nitrogen oxides and hydrocarbons) which will help improve air quality.
- Fuel efficiency – We have developed a fuel additive that will increase the fuel efficiency of vehicles. More importantly, the additive will drastically reduce the amount of hydrocarbon and nitrogen oxides from gas and diesel powered vehicles.
- Alternative energy – We have conceptualized a technology that can increase the efficiency in the biologic digestion of farm manure waste while producing biogas – a clean alternative energy source that can be used in the co-generation of electricity and heat. In addition to the energy benefits the improved digestion of farm manure will help reduce the environmental impact waste farm manure has on our water supply and air quality.
